I am impressed by the performance of the .za domain names. .za has whizzed past the 650,000 mark and is now headed towards the 700,000 mark in the next few months. Just one week ago when I was writing a post about African ccTLDs, there were 647,405 .za domain names, that's a net addition of 3393 domain names. At that rate, South Africa can add 176,436 domain names in the next one year all factors remaining constant! Isn't that impressive?

The only other "African ccTLD" doing quite as well is Somalia's .SO. .SO is managed by Japan's GMO registry. We will update you with daily tidbits on African domain name industry via out Twitter profile @AfricaDomains
