It seems a new Registrar has now joined the race in the the newTLD pre-registrations. Germany's InternetX based in Regensburg announced soon after the ICANN board approved the newTLD program that it would start taking pre-registrations for newTLDs.
A quick look at the website revealed the program is not yet in place. It's expected that many registrars will now begin taking the pre-registrations of popular newTLD extensions as the the process moves to the application round. United Domains, also based in Germany was the first registrar to launch a newTLD pre-registration program.
