Senegalese ICT Director Ms Maimouna Ndeye Diop was recently elected the new Board chair for the African Netywork Information Centre, AfriNIC, the Mauritius-based organization which is the Regional Registry for Internet Number Resources for Africa in charge of allocating IP addresses in African region.
Mr Mark Elkins from South Africa's Uniforum will serve as her deputy.
