.COM still essential: Manila archdiocese links to transsexual porn site

The .COM domain is still King in people's minds.
One Filipino Diocese has learnt the hard way that Good and Evil can coexist under one domain, different TLDs. The Archdiocese of Manila accidentally directed the Catholic faithful to a transsexual .COM website instead of its own .NET website during the installation of a new Archbishop which was to be streamed live via its website. Reports ABS-CBN News:

The Manila archdiocese's website livestreamed the installation of new Archbishop Luis Antonio Tagle on http://tvmaria.net Monday.
Days earlier, however, its webpage announcing Tagle's installation urged readers to watch the event live on http://tvmaria.com, which has a different domain name than its livestreaming site.
"There will be live streaming of the Rite on www.tvmaria.com and www.quiapochurch.com," the archdiocese' website said.
People clicking the tvmaria.com link were stunned when a transsexual man wearing only lingerie popped into their computer screens.

A cache of the original page can still be viewed at http://goo.gl/JEvYr. It shows the page and the error as it appeared on Dec 9, 2011 at around 14:48:20 GMT.
The error has been corrected and the correct link, http://tvmaria.net, was later posted on the archdiocese's webpage.
The city's Catholic leadership has yet to comment on the issue.
